One of our fellow City Daily Photo bloggers is missing in Tehran. Today is a special Theme Day on City Daily Photo to show support for his freedom and everyone's continued freedom to share information and pictures.
In 1998, Chicago renamed the road between the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium, shown above, as Solidarity Drive to commemorate Lech Walesa's campaign, known as the Solidarity Movement, to bring freedom to Poland.

This is an excellent way to equate the two movements and to include the city of Chicago. A number of bloggers have used the remarkable similarities of the two situations to highlight the plight of the people of Iran. I like this image of freedom and of hope.
I hope that our missing blogger can join with us for our next Theme Day. The world is a community. The world is watching.
What a perfect picture for today!
Perfect shot, well done! Thank you.
Wonderful choice for today's photo. I had forgotten about this road.
Very clever indeed! Great work!
Wonderful. Dina sent me your way. I thought you might also like to see this. It is truly heartening to see this global effort. I suppose we're a small group in the grand scheme of things, but we do have a voice.
Beautifully done and so interesting to see how Solidarity has come up a lot today on the blogs in connection with the theme.
Great photo and great photo for the day. That green really adds to the image!
Great choice, excellent photo.
I'm glad for your support. I'd like to make you aware of this video. Jump to 00:27:10 if you don't like to watch the whole video. I think this is what most western countries deny but it is all connected.
