Sports

You can't avoid sports in Chicago now either. The Bears are going up against their long-time rivals The Green Bay Packers this Sunday at home (don't worry, the weather forecast says it will warm up to 19 degrees by then).

How do you show support for your home team? You light up your building in the team colors! Which is so much more pleasant to look at than the whole face painting thing ;)

April Theme Day: The Color Red

Today is Theme Day on City Daily Photo. This month's theme, voted on by City Daily Photo members is The Color Red. I discovered that Chicago has a number of red icons.

Clockwise from top left
The CTA Red Line, Alexander Calder's Flamingo, The Wrigley Building with special red lighting, Alexander Calder's signature on the Flamingo, a certain restaurant with a big red tomato at the door, the CNA Building

Red and Green 2

Although I tried, I couldn't time the photo to get the string of street lights - even stop lights - blinking the bright red and green.

Bubblegum Pink

The Wrigley Building is just one of several Chicago buildings that have special pink lighting to raise awareness that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Today's "Two Views" is The Wrigley Building. The first view is the building's reflection in the Trump Tower; the second view is the real building.
