Four Seasons

Since it is almost the Autumnal Equinox, thought I'd show Chagall's beautiful Four Seasons mosaic.

Lights, Lace and Liquor

The Christkindlmarket is an annual event in Daley Plaza. German and American artisans sell their wares at little booths. They start after Thanksgiving and go until Christmas Eve. I'm pretty sure they have little heaters in their booths to help them through the cold days. These are just three of the many booths at the market. Now, I was there early in the afternoon so it wasn't as crowded as it gets in the evening and the weekends. The Gluhwein vendor is usually MUCH busier.

The Michael Mobile

Somebody's rolling tribute to Michael Jackson was parked at Dearborn and Monroe yesterday afternoon.

The car is covered with newspaper articles about Michael Jackson and has a sign on the hood that identifies it as the "Michael Mobile". I believe a lot of duct tape was used. The articles look like they might be on water-resistant paper. I tried to find some other information about this on-line but only found some twitter references to sightings of this car elsewhere in the Loop.

The Hold Out

There's always one. The last one to leave.
This pile of snow in Federal Plaza is hanging on way past its welcome.
It should be gone by the weekend, though.
