A Day Only a Boater Would Love

No, my camera lens does not need a good cleaning. ;)

This photo was one of the early bridge runs (when the Chicago Bridges are raised to allow the sailboats to get to the harbors from their winter storage homes) this year. However, since the
weather today looked almost exactly like this, I figured it was OK to post a slightly older (really only two weeks) photo.

I've never seen a road/bridge raised like this. I think I'll be in awe when I do.

I remember this so well. I could see the Columbus Ave. and Lake Shore Drive bridges from my bedroom window and loved to go down to street level to watch the Michigan Ave. bridge go up and down. Everyone on the boats seemed to be having such a good time.
