It is difficult! Plus they also put those advertising wraps over the trains, too, which mess up the view. And, you also have to be on the correct side of the train so the light is behind you. But the Ravenswood/Brown Line seems to have the better cars.

Whenever I see an interesting view from the el window, it's too dirty or scratched.
