Thanks for the comments! No, Amy, Monroe Harbor does not ice over completely enough for ice skating. There is too much wave action from Lake Michigan for that so it usually gets an icy surface that freezes, cracks, freezes again.
Ooooh, this does look cold. When I was woring there, I lived right on the Chicago River and I was always amazed at how the river froze over completely!
Does it ice over completely so you can iceskate?
