The
Christkindlmarket is an annual event in Daley Plaza. German and American artisans sell their wares at little booths. They start after Thanksgiving and go until Christmas Eve. I'm pretty sure they have little heaters in their booths to help them through the cold days. These are just three of the many booths at the market. Now, I was there early in the afternoon so it wasn't as crowded as it gets in the evening and the weekends. The
Gluhwein vendor is usually MUCH busier.

Sure looks cold to be doing that.
When I was working there, the office was one block away from Daley Plaza, so I visited this event the two winters I spent there. I always enjoyed it. It helped to get me into the holiday spirit.
That looks like fun! I might have to visit that next week while I'm in Chicago.
We made the mistake of going for the first time the evening after Thanksgiving. Packed! (But I did like my sugared macadamia nuts.)
Thanks for the info--I checked out the link and it does look like something I would be interested in. I have put it on my list of of things to do!
