Two Views of ... Smurfit-Stone Building

Today's Two Views is of the Smurfit-Stone Building (previously known as the Stone Container Building, but also referred to as "that diamond shaped building"). It's a very recognizable building in the Chicago skyline and is also known for a co-starring role in the movie "Adventures in Baby-Sitting".

I always loved this building. I read that it is a bit of hazard in the winter when sheets of ice can slide off that smooth top and crash to the sidewalk below. I love that reflection shot!

I always wondered what the name of this building was. A very unique identifier in the Chicago skyline.

Great shot, I didn't know this building, or better I have seen it in movies or skyline photos, without knowing the name.

A wonderful building. Can't say the same about the movie.

First time at your site. Love the pictures. Although I miss the city, specifically the buildings and especially the airplanes, I have grown comfortable with the quiet in the northwoods. I will definitely re-visit your site for periodic doses!
